Rubber Bonding

AquaArmor 'AquaArmor' is an ideal pretreatment for steel for 'Rubber-to-Metal' bonding with the advantage of whole part corrosion protection for finished components.

AquaArmor coating represents a superior cost effective corrosion protection for products in severe environments including exposure to salt water, and acids.

Product Description:

AquaArmor is a water based, environmentally friendly coating containing no hazardous materials. In most applications, AquaArmor eliminates the need to apply a 'Rubber-to-Metal' primer which can result in significant cost reduction combined with superior performance.

With AquaArmor 'Rubber to Metal'
bonding, pretreatment and primers
can be eliminated.

Advantages:

  • Eliminate pretreatment of metal parts
  • Eliminate the need for rubber-to-metal primers
  • Greatly exceeds performance of 'Post Paints'
  • Impervious to Hot Water - 150F for 500 hours
  • Used on Motor Vehicles since 2001
  • Over 15,000,000 coated parts on vehicles
  • Saturn, Ford, General Motors, Nissan
Process:

AquaArmor coating is applied by a dipping process called autodeposition. The coating is applied uniformly to 1.5 mils regardless of shape or work piece. and becomes an encapsulate which coats the whole part with a protective treatment yielding corrosion protection of 500+ hours tested to ASTM B117 salt fog exposure.
