Product Description:
AquaArmor corrosion control coatings provide outstanding protection for
products that are required to withstand severe environments.
The coatings are aquaously based and environmentally friendly. Once
coeectly applied they imparthigh anti corrosion properties to otherwise
vulnerable ferrous components.
Advantages:
- Excellent Salt Spray Resistance – Up to 2000 Hrs
- Impervious to Hot Water –150F for 500 hours
- Excellent Chip Resistance -> 100 in-lb
- Outstanding Abrasion Resistance
- Excellent Acid Resistance – No damage 1 month 25% Sulfuric Acid
- UV Resistant
- Dramatically outperforms asphalt coatings
- NSF61 listed and complies with AWWA standards
- Chemical deposition eliminates creep corrosion
- More Economical than Fusion bonded Epoxy
- Thin Uniform Layer Retains the Integrity of the Component Geometry
Process:
AquaArmor coating is applied by a multistage dipping process called autodeposition.
The coating is applied uniformly to 1.5 mils regardless of shape or work piece.
and becomes an encapsulate which coats the whole part with a protective
treatment yielding outstanding corrosion protection of 500+ hours tested to ASTM B117 salt fog exposure.
Chemistry:
AquaArmor coating process creates an intermolecular bond between the substrate and the coating.
This is a very important feature since it prevents any minor chips or abrasions to the coated surface from migrating or creeping under the coating.
This is unlike other coatings that can allow such 'Hidden Corrosion' resulting in damage to remain undetected.
